This was painted from the ascent up La Plata Peak in Colorado. Bright sunshine and snow in July and heavy breathing are all components of the Rocky Mountain High.

There aren’t words for these mountains, or for the feelings they elicit in us. I’m guessing you know what I’m talking about.
