This was a chance to revisit my previous work of Lee’s Ferry. I wasn’t kidding when I described what Lee’s Ferry means to me. It’s the warm glow of a new trip about to begin, a farewell to the outside world, and another chance to dance with all the forces so much greater than us that we can’t help but sit in awe at just how insignificant we are. Lee’s Ferry to me is a place I associate with courage, with peace, with hard work, and with the possibility of boundless growth.

The more time I’ve spent here, the more I’ve admired just how many faces this familiar landscape can take on. I’ve seen rainbows and thunderstorms, warm morning glow, and almost psychedelic arrays of color at sunset. Here’s just another meditation on a place that means so so much to me.
