Whoever comes down the river carries with them their grief, their fears, their joys, and all the layers and paradox of the human experience. This trip was no exception. I’m so grateful to the Cross family for not only trusting me with this commission, but for sharing all fo themselves with us on that trip. It’s one I won’t forget
